The GO Discover Indonesia team arranged the tour to start and finish the trip in Surabaya. We recommended starting the tour around 9 am so that before checking in at the Bromo Hotel, we have enough time to visit Madakaripura waterfall, one of the best waterfalls in East Java.
The Bromo tour will start at 3 am to catch the beautiful sunrise over the Bromo Crater. After that, we can do a short trek up the Bromo crater, which has a sandy road and a lot of horses. Then, we continued the trip to Banyuwangi City and did harder trekking in Ijen Crater at midnight.
After enjoying the blue fire and panorama of the Ijen crater, the tour will continue back to Surabaya, which will take a 7-8 hours drive. If you have a same-day flight, please take the flight after 6 pm, or you can extend it to Surabaya to take the next-day flight.
